The best known of all Habanos brands throughout the world, for many smokers Montecristo forms the benchmark against which other brands are judged. The name comes from Alexandre Dumas' famous novel which, at the time the brand was founded in 1935, was a particular favourite of the cigar makers - read to them as they worked. Today the brand comprises a very comprehensive range of medium to full flavoured cigars, which seem to appeal equally to both new and experienced smokers. |
